SEASONS



Overview
            SEASONS is an after school program that works in school gardens and nature areas which uses a seasonal approach to gardening, art, and naturalist observations.  It is a 6 week seasonal enrichment program for elementary aged students (1 day a week).  Each week addresses a new topic, which includes creating a piece or of art, and exploration of a natural phenomenon. All weeks work together to create an overview of the season.
·         Fall Activities include: nature walks and scavenger hunts, nature art, gardening
·         Winter Activities include: bird watching, natural objects mobiles, lip balm making
·         Spring Activities include: flower pressing, gardening, nature collage art
Key Audience
            School aged students
Site
            Public and private school grounds (specifically garden and natural or green spaces) through collaboration with Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) or Parent Teacher Student Associations (PTSA), and/or school administration
